Segment 2 Driver Education is 6 hours of classroom instruction.
The primary focus of Segment 2 is to teach young drivers the dangers of distracted driving, road rage, etc. Students must pass a written test with a 70% or higher.

FORMS TO COMPLETE (turn in to Mr. Korb)

• Clio Segment 2 Contract (click here for blank form)
• a copy of your driving log (click here for a blank form if needed)
• a copy of your valid Michigan Level 1 Learner's License

CRITERIA TO TAKE CLASS​​

• Passed 5 out of 6 classes in the previous semester
• Hold Level 1 Learner's License for at least 3 consecutive months
• Completion of at least 30 of the 50 Level 1 Learner's License driving hours (at least 2 hours must be night driving)
• Cost - DO NOT pay until you have received confirmation that you are in the course​
  • Free to students who completed Segment 1 at Clio
  • $50 to students who completed Segment 1 with another provider

CRITERIA TO RECEIVE CERTIFICATE​

• Must be passing ALL current classes
• Owe no fines to Clio Area Schools; for example: lunch account, library, athletics, etc.

Clio Area Schools driver education courses meet all State of Michigan requirements for driver education,
​and take place right at our high school.​
